This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 21, 2009:
Sometimes sympathy feels like an empty sky, and advice is like a distant lighthouse.
Because they are merely spectators.
Listening to someone, is experiencing with them and that requires an amount of vulnerability. You aren't just there for them, but with them.
Listening is different from hearing.
When you put a shell to your ear, you hear the sound of the sea. But when you honestly listen to it, you probably become one.

You have my complete and total standing ovation. In fact, I'm not just standing, I'm on tippy toes. The photograph and supporting heart-based thoughts are excellent!
You have very sharp & profound thought processes. With your permission, I am going to add this to our bathroom wall to be read with all the other great minds' thought & words. My kids love them:)
Thank you Laurie and Tumbleweed boy. :)
Twb, sure you can use that! It's an honour.
Laurie I agree! Nema You described this wonderfully and the picture is sweet… perfect choice.
Thank you Joanna. :)
