Her Sorrow

Blurred behind the curtain rain
Soft behind the window pane
Eyes that hold a cold dismay
Rolling like a drunken yarn
Hollow like an empty barn
Waking up to dream away
The sky may be the brightest blue
The birds may sing what is true
But that doesn't change a thing
Strolling like a broken mop
Sulking like a withered crop
Words put in a broken string
All the laugh and all the play
Still won't make her smile stay
Dimming lights on the stage
A lonely song in a gray drill
A silent wind with a shrill
Stuffed with grief and rage
All her games and toys wait
It seems that it's a little late
Now that she can see no shade
Holding her within a shell
Drifting her away as well
Till it wishes to slowly fade

Getting back to writing after some time. It's always easier writing something sad, so I just wrote some lines about a girl's sadness. Hope it's not too awful.

Help

Sigh! Awe-ful, actually, dear Desafinada. Takes one into her space…Yet, she asks for nothing. Not even to be happy.
Beatiful writing. Simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Thank you so much Meenakshi and Laurie! I was a little jittery while posting it. :)
